Privacy policy
Skillshelf has no accounts, no sign-up forms and no ads. It counts visits without cookies. That's most of it; the details are below.
Visit and download counts
We use Umami to see how the site is used: which pages are visited, which site sent the visitor, the browser, operating system, device type and country, and when someone downloads a skill, opens it in Claude Code, copies its SKILL.md or saves it to their shelf. Umami doesn't use cookies and says it doesn't collect personal data. We use these numbers only to see which pages and skills people find useful.
Hosting
The site is hosted by Netlify. Like any web host, Netlify handles technical details such as your IP address to deliver pages and protect the site from abuse.
What stays on your device
Your shelf (skills you save) and the list of skills you've opened are stored in your own browser. They aren't sent to us. Clearing this site's data in your browser removes them.
Downloads and Claude
Downloading a skill gives you a .zip file; we don't record anything about you beyond the count above. The “Install in Claude Code” button opens Claude on your own computer with a request typed in. What happens in Claude is covered by Anthropic's privacy policy, not this one.
What we don't do
- We don't sell or share data with advertisers.
- We don't track you across other websites.
- We don't collect names, email addresses or payment details.
Children
Skillshelf isn't aimed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them.
Changes
If we ever add advertising, accounts or anything else that collects more, we'll update this page before turning it on and change the date at the top.
